Let's see...I am definitely looking forward to November because my best friend and I are heading to Washington, D.C., for a long weekend to visit our other friend who teaches there. I also have another friend from college who just moved there, so I'll get to see her too! I haven't been to D.C. in at least 15 years, so I am really looking forward to it. It'll be a nice break from teaching and I love traveling.
I'm also looking forward to cooler weather. It was a hot, hot summer here in Michigan and I can't wait to wear jeans and hoodies/sweaters outside instead of shorts and tank tops while dripping with sweat (you're welcome for that visual). And of course, there will definitely be bonfires! My favorite!

ReplyDeleteMy sister lives just outside of D.C.-it's a great place to visit. Was it even too hot in Michigan this year? Ugh. Enjoy your bonfires!

D.C. is such a fun place to walk around. I love the cherry blossom trees near the White House when they're in bloom. Seeig the city with friends makes it even better.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with this blog. I totally agree...it will be hard for us to keep up with grading/planning/reading/blogging, but we can do it! Stay strong. Blogging tends to take up a little too much of my time, but it's fun! Now that I have a grip on my classroom curriculum, I have a lot more free time- that is, until my yearbook deadlines start popping up all over the place. Pretty soon I won't be able to put my hands on a single book:( How many years have you been teaching? Good luck on Tuesday!
